Gandhi Gives Great Advice

“Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.”
Mahatma Gandhi

It’s important to remember that what you put into the world is what you get out of it.

Too often we’re hard on ourselves, demanding perfection from our appearance, career, and relationships. But negative and discouraging thoughts are not only non-productive; they can be harmful to your life. As Gandhi said, the thoughts we have turn into behaviors and habits we carry with us.

Luckily, positivity is a habit any one can pick up, one that you can instill in yourself even if you’re the most naturally critical person there is. Every night while you’re winding down to sleep, write down three things that went well that day, and one thing you’re looking forward to in the coming week.

Getting in the habit of analyzing your day with the specific purpose of finding something good helps your brain to look for positivity in any situation.

Do this for 30 days and you’ll soon find that looking on the bright side comes more naturally to you! Your new outlook can reduce blood pressure, stress, and help you live longer.

Good for you (literally)!
