What is breathwork?
Simply put its an active breathing meditation that gives your brain something to focus on while your physical and emotional bodies release stuck energy.
The basis for this self-healing modality founded by my teacher, David Elliott, allows us to cultivate and elevate our ability to love ourselves unapologetically.
There are many different types of breathwork out there but this particular style is all done while breathing through an open mouth in a laying down position. No previous experience required. You can learn how to do it in less than 2 min.
In this first group, I’ll break down the basics of breathwork, show you how to do the practice and guide you through a session focused primarily on removing any blocks or internal clutter that you may be struggling with right now.
No matter what has drawn you to breathwork, I like for students to imagine it as a spiritual housekeeping practice. Most humans collect experiences that leave us emotionally charged, exhausted or afraid to really go after our dreams. Breathwork offers a full spectrum of possibility ranging from a light dusting to an intense deep cleaning and everything in between.
Our “stuff” can clog our energy centers, just like a trashcan that has become overly full. It is necessary to take out the garbage on a regular basis otherwise your house will being to smell horrible and a few unwanted houseguests (aka roaches) may settle in. Make sense?
