My Favorite Self-Care Spots in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is huge. It consists of so many cultures, activities, freeways and traffic. I’ve lived here for 17 years and have established a list of places that are tried and true when it comes to self-care. If you’re planning on taking a trip to the City of Angels or if your are a native that hasn’t explored every square inch, read below to see my favorites.!

for a quick bite

Nourishing your body is nourishing your soul! My first choice for a healthy boost is Moon Juice. The smoothies are incredibly satisfying and are quite visually pleasing. Pick up a few of my favorite at home smoothie making supplements while you’re there! The Vanilla Adaptogenic Protein Powder and Sex Dust are not to be missed.

for a pause

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that my number one place for a meditative experience is none other than Unplug Meditation. With offerings available morning to night, you’ll easily find a session that aligns with your lifestyle and meditation desires. The teachers make this studio what it is so be sure to try at least 10 classes before settling into your routine.

for your cuticle care

Los Angeles is a mecca for healthy living but many of us are still going to toxic nail salons. Nail care is an established part of my self-care routine, so I want to make sure that the experience is more than just cutting cuticles. The one place I can depend on is Olive & June. With an all-natural product selection and the prettiest decor, you’ll find yourself wanting to go back again and again. I can’t recommend the walnut leg scrub enough!

For a physical and mental release

If I want a quick 30-minute massage or an hour long session, The Now Massage is my safe haven. In addition to having all the right decor (think: neutrals, crystals, natural materials, stunning succulents and shaggy Moroccan rugs) Besides the fact that the studios are beautiful, the staff knows exactly how to release the tension in your muscles to have you feeling like a newborn by the time you walk out. You won’t regret it.
